An old man named Selcross arived at the Academy of Magic, seeking his long lost granddaughter.

Theo and Reena brought Selcross to his granddaugther, Jaharna. The old man was happy to see her again, and wanted to give her an inheritance; a castle that he had acquired durring his younger days as a mage.
Following a map Selcross had, he, Jaharna, Theo, Jeremy, Dar, Lis, and Reena set out through the Legarro forrests towards the inherited castle.

Along the way, in the woods, the group came across a group of soldiers surrounding an ogre in a red cape and beret. The ogre turned out to be a freindly chap named Ograly Cassini, who was on his way to an art show in Fairton. After Jeremy talked the Legarro soldiers out of their hostility, Ogrally walked along with the group, as he was heading in their direction.

When they reached the town of Fairton, they were in for a surprise! The castle was in the middle of town, and a man named Lord Blake claimed to own it. The group parted company with Ograly, and saw what looked like a mound of packages walking down the street, a noble woman following behind.

The woman, who turned out to be Lady Blake, viciously beat the young drow slave who had dropped her packages. Jeremy offered to help take the packages back to her home, allowing them their first glimpse of the castle that should belong to Jaharna and her grandfather.

The woman continued to beat the drow, threatening to sell him to the slave trader. Dar asked the woman how much she wanted for him, and the price was set at 30 gold. Theo proved his haggling skills, and got the price of the drow down to a managable amount. His name was "Dirt" and he was afraid of everything.

Selcross gave "Dirt" a new name, Leif. He was healed of his physical injuries, though still scarred inside and out by a lifetime of slavery. Shidi came to visit, and in her own manner, took charge of the situation, by assigning the care of the drow to Jaharna, who became his "mistress". Leif began to tell her tales of the "big house" in which he had lived, including the fact that the Blakes had remained very young for a very long time... Jaharna, Selcross and Leif  returned to Fairton for the art show, with Morri, Alex, Shimmer, Bri, Shang,Kalys, Gas-O,  TW,Soul and Star. The group moved about, looking at all the art. A winner was declaired, the prize supposed to have been given by Lord Blake.  But the Lord was mysteriously missing, and so was Leif! The group searched frantically, discovering a secret door, and a trail of blood.

Bri and Shang discovered a slave collar and manacles hidden in a supply closet, while the rest of the group searched an artists studio. Morri discovered a door to the outside, and her and Jaharna opened it. They followed the trail into the alley, where there was a large dumpster. Soul saw an object wedged in the dumpster, preventing the lid from closing. Morri bit the bullet and climbed on in to check it out. It turned out to be Leif's hand, attached to the rest of his barely alive body. He had been bitten by a vampire, and his throat was torn out; the wound uncloseable. Bri did a divination spell to determine why,after giving him a potion to heal the vampire bite and its effects.

It turned out that his voicebox had been removed by a Claw of Wounding, a magical weapon that would once a day cause a wound that no magic could heal. Leif, frightened and mute, was brought back to the Bardic Circle Pub, where he remains. All was quiet at the Bard. Leif settled into life there, and participated in the Spring Fair.

But late one evening, there was a horrific occurrence. A flaming arrow was shot at the door of the Bard. The arrow, a message arrow, contained a note. "Surrender the drow to Castle Blakethorn, or Die". Jaharna took Leif and tried to slip out the back way, but an archer was back there, waiting...her head on fire. Inferno Archers!

Meanwhile at the grove, Fenjar was with the young lady he had rescued, Robin. A Sassy Firedrake made Bri's aquaintance there, by marking her territory on his leg.  Tristan Legarro showed up, sporting a new blue scarf and cape. The group spotted what looked like a lady with her head on fire, and walked over towards the Bard. A fight with the Inferno archers began! Tass, Lana, Leif, Jaharna and Tray came out of the Bard to join the battle. During the battle, the famous mystery guy showed up. Seeing Fenjar, the Archers mistakenly thought he was the drow they were supposed to take. Knocking Fenjar out, the last remaining archer picked him up and made a run for it! Things looked grim for the drow mage, when suddenly, the mystery guy started to undress! It was none other then our old friend, in raptor form....

Kamek ran with Raptor speed after the archeress, making her stumble with a well placed hit. Lana took to the air, spreading her wings, and giving chase. When the archer stumbled, she was able to finish the lady off. Fenjar had been rescued! Unfortunately, Jaharna had been killed. Leif petitioned Shidi to come to his aid, and she came,
resurrecting the fallen Jaharna. Two of the archers got away... have we heard the last of them?
