Description:
Dlonn is an Overlord of the Void, sealed away unknown millenia ago by the sacrifice of a Dragon Goddess to form the dragon amulet lock that sealed him away. However, Dlonn's worshippers discovered the amulet, which was really a living being, and corrupted it for evil. This amulet grew into the black elder dragon Deminixil, and was planned to be the key that would destroy the bonds that kept Dlonn sealed away. These followers called themselves the Twilight Shadows, and thought themselves invulnerable...
However, a kender by the name of Sam Berrydrink wandered in the castle that day, and was captured by Dlonn's minions and thrown in the torture chamber. Being a mage, he managed to free himself and escaped, wreaking havoc that resulted in a tragic miscasting of the gate spell that would lead to the Portal behind which Dlonn was sealed. There was a great explosion, and the castle of the Twilight Shadows was demolished. Sam seemed to have vanished from the scene as well...
The story renewed much later in the distant future; Arc Legarro, a reincarnation, so to speak, of Sam Berrydrink accidentally awakened destiny by creating a little silver dragon out of silverwood - a dragon that came to life, and his true name was known as Makorna. The black dragon amulet, which had lain dormant, suddenly escaped Arc's possession and flew to who knows where - except that it ended up in the possession of Klagg Bloodslaker. Klagg was the new leader of the Twilight Shadows and avatar of the mighty Dlonn, and was out to terminate the incarnation responsible for destroying the Twilight Shadows' lair so long ago, now that they had located him. After using a woman named Jaharna to deliver threats and assassination attempts, he proceeded to fly the new Citadel Temple into the Rhydinian plane and towards Rhydin.
Makorna, the silver dragon, flew off alone to confront the citadel, but was nearly killed by a flight of red drakes. Arc, assuming the form of Sam Berrydrink once again, restored Makorna, and then flew him to the citadel, to battle Klagg and Deminixil to the death. Though Klagg had the advantage of a host of drakelings on his side, Deminixil was eventually (apparently) destroyed, and Klagg run through with Arc's silver hoopak, collapsing lifeless to the ground. The citadel, which flew by Deminixil's power, proceeded to plummet to the ground, as Arc and Makorna flew away.
However... the story did not end there. Klagg was stripped of his powers by Dlonn for his failure, but he somehow survived, and hunted Arc to Rhydin. There, he managed to capture Faith, a shifter who claimed Arc as a grandfather of sorts, binding her with a slave collar. However, her misery and that of others eventually made him release her and give up his dark ways, or at least tone them down, and Klagg and Arc, though not exactly friends, are no longer enemies.
And yet it continued - a horde of dragonslayers infested the Legarro Lands, butchering any dragon they could catch, sometimes cruelly torturing and maiming them first. They were led by a vampiric host, the Clan Bloodslaker, which was hunting Klagg for his failure and betrayal. The 'slayers kidnapped and brutally tortured Herb and Amek, constantly hunted Makorna (who lived at Drake Manor within those woods), and otherwise managed to raise much havoc; most, however, have been hunted down and killed by now by vengeful parties. Kanshi and Simshi, incidentally, were found while eliminating said menaces (as snacks to the vampires.)
Meanwhile, the Isle of Destiny arose from the waters near Khiala-Kest; this island proved to, after much trials and tribulations, be the resting place for the black dragon amulet - except that it was merely a dim gray color, without much memory or alignment. Due to the influence of those he found himself around, he became a silver dragon, oddly similar to Makorna when young in stature, and was known as Myst.
The efforts of the adventurers eventually led them to the Great Temple of Dlonn to the east - after a large-scale confontration, the temple eventually was destroyed, though one of the vampires who had tortured Herb and Amek escaped the destruction and flew away. This vampire was caught by Shidi, who, unwilling to exact vengeance, turned her over to Amek, who promptly flew away with her. Her current status is unknown, and nobody has really wanted to ask Amek on the few occasions they've seen him.
It has since been found out that the Emperor of Miloch (to the south) is one of the Three; the head clerics of Dlonn's religion. One died in the destruction, and the third's location as yet is unknown. Makorna was known to have something to do with the Portal, as did Myst; both began to experience strange feelings, as if something were calling them, and went to hide within Avalon.
