Anzack
His name is Andrew Zachary Thomas, but he goes by Anzack, and he's a cocky bastard type of guy.He doesn't like to take orders, could care less about the corporation, and is just there because he loves to fly. He's British, and quit that corporation due to a little incident with a higher up, that he doesn't care to discuss. Wears an old styled leather flak jacket whenever he can get away with it, on which is pinned paratrooper wings from WWII. They belonged to one of his ancestors, and have been passed down through the generations. Anzack is 6ft2, with dark hair that falls in a careless cut to just above his shoulder, and sparkling blue eyes. He's more wiry then muscular, as he prefers leisure to exercise. A tattoo of a hawk clutching a bleeding heart in one talon and the words "Life is Pain" is on his left bicep .His plane, the Night Hawk, is all black, save a golden hawk with spread wings on the front and each side. His helmet has the hawk going up the front, and "Anzack" on each side.

Jenny
Jenny is a flygirl that loves her job - and her 'craft. She was always interested in soaring through the heavens, ever since she watched the Americorp Air Show as a little girl. Now that she can fly her own 'craft, she couldn't be happier, getting to actually be in the air... She excels at flying (well, for her current experience level) and is still rather idealistic about corporate intentions, though she doesn't extend this to fellow pilots.

Brad
Brad loves to fly.  His father is a star freighter pilot, and he sometimes got to go on trips with him.  He has always wanted to fly like his dad did, but wanted a little more action, so became a fighter pilot.  He's generally cheery and friendly, though a tad on the competitive side, especially when it comes to flying.  When on the job, however, he doesn't take his work lightly.

Grace
Grace is very serious and dedicated to advancing as quickly as possible.  She rarely takes time for anything other than studying or practicing her skills, and many "friends" think she is cold.  She always follows the rules by the letter, and never questions things form higher ups.  She has an older brother, Joseph, who is a constant source of embarrassment and disappointment in her well-ordered life.

Swifthand
Jason is a lean man of 5'11", wearing loose fitting clothes and a headband over his jet black hair.  His brown eyes jokingly dart this way and that and his posture is near perfect.

8-Ball
Terry is the youngest of three brothers and he always seemed to get the bad breaks in life.  He almost died when he was born and has been sickly ever since.  Because of that, he had trouble keeping up with the other students in flight school.  He is rail thin and not too strong.  He is more comfortable taking orders than giving them.  5'10", 150 lbs, brown hair and gray eyes.

Mission Summaries

Mission Report  March 13, 2399

This was Cat Wing's first flight as a group.  Lt. Phillips of Angel Wing flew as flight leader.  Accompanying him were the following members of Cat Wing:  Pilot Andrew Thomas, Pilot Bradley Milton, Pilot Jennifer Lee, Pilot Terry Blair, Pilot Robert Williams and Pilot Marcus Wainthrop.  The group left the Hellion at 1530 hours and proceeded to fly to the rendevous point with Convoy H476.  Along the way, they received a distress signal from the two remaining freighters of Convoy H473.  They arrived in time to protect them from the three Tempest fighters attacking them.  The fighters have been identified as members of British Space Mining's 75th Fighter Squadron.  All three fighters were destroyed.  The flight then escorted the freighters to Convoy H476 and they joined that convoy.  The flight then returned to the Hellion at 2200 hours.

Kill count:  Lt. Phillips- 1/2, Plt. Blair- 1/2, Plt. Lee- 1/2, Plt. Milton- 1/2, Plt. Thomas: 1

CAG's notes:  This flight showed good teamwork for the most part, though Plt. Thomas chose
to attack a target other than ordered.  Time will tell how well Cat Wing does.

Mission Summary    March 15, 2399

All three wings aboard the Hellion were used in a two prong attack on a series of Microscape Online convoys.  Cat Wing was sent after two unescorted freighters.  Their Stingrays were armed with two Type 2 missiles instead of their usual Type 1 missiles.  Pilots taking part in this sortie were Pilot Blair, Pilot Chong, Pilot Hart, Pilot Lee, Pilot Milton, Pilot Swifthand and Pilot Thomas.  Pilots Lee and Thomas were acting flight leaders for this mission.  The wing left the Hellion at 0730 hours and headed out to the projected flight path of the freighters.  Contact was established at 0900 hours and the flight engaged at 0915 hours.  All pilots released all their missiles, except for Pilot Milton, who had one missile jam on its pylon.  However, most of the missiles were shot down and those that hit did not do a significant amount of damage.  The pilots then initiated strafing runs on the freighters, knocking 3 of the 4 laser turrets on the two freighters out of commission and doing moderate damage to the freighters.  The wing disengaged when an Microscape Online gunship-class vessel was detected bearing down on them.  Also, at this point, Pilot Blair's lasers were rendered inoperative and Pilot Hart began experiencing engine trouble.  The wing returned at 1200 hours, where at this point the disarming droid sent to retrieve the live missile on Pilot Milton's wing botched the attempt, causing some damage to Milton's craft.

Kill record:  none

CAG's notes:  Cat's Wing experienced the same amount of misfortune with their Type 2 Missiles that Demon Wing did.  An examination of the Type 2 Missile stores on the Hellion detected that over half were defective.  An immediate resupply was ordered.  Pilots Lee and Thomas showed good leadership decisions in this mission.  One of these two will soon be promoted, I believe.

Mission Report  March 17, 2399

Cat Wing was assigned to fly patrol route Beta at 1030 hours.  Taking part in this flight were Pilot Blair, Pilot Chong, Pilot Lee, Pilot Milton and Pilot Thomas.  Pilot Lee was the acting flight leader.  Four hours into their patrol, the wing engaged 5 British Aerospace Mining Tempest-class fighters.  Missile fire was exchanged and our fighters came out on the better side of it.  Both sides closed for dogfighting, which lasted about 10 minutes.  All five BAM craft were destroyed with minor damage done to Cat Wing.  Four of the enemy pilots were picked up by one of our frigates, the Vagabond.  Cat Wing then finished its patrol and landed safely aboard the Hellion.

Kill record:  Lee, 1 1/2 kills;  Milton, 1 1/2 kills;  Blair, 1 kill;  Anzack, 1/2 kill, Chong, 1/2 kill

CAG's notes:  Pilot Lee did an excellent job on her first try at flight leader.  While not much ordering was needed, she did what was necessary.  Pilots Blair and Milton showed remarkable improvement in their skills, while pilots Chong and Thomas performed well.  My search for a flight leader will continue next mission, which possibly could be the resupply of the type 2 missiles.
